The 2018 Kentucky Legislature has passed the most extensive consumer tax increase since the inception of sales and use tax in Kentucky.
The tax rate has not changed and remains at 6%. But, there will be an extensive list list of services and activities, not previously taxable, that will now be taxable.

This list will effect nearly every consumer in the State of Kentucky. The Department of Revenue is still in the process of clarifying regulations and setting policy as the law goes into effect.
